Centering youth voice in decision making was also a top priority raised in the initial listening sessions which helped design the Northside Youth Enrichment Funds (NYEF).

Dr. Verna Cornellia Price  said, "My daughter has learned so much about excellence, and leadership from her experience.   I sponsored another young woman to attend camp with MsDenishia because I wanted her to experience  what my own daughter had experienced.   In short, MsDenishia is a leader who is passionate about her work."
